Santander Consumer Finance is one of the UK’s leading motor finance companies and we are currently looking for a De-fleet Administrator to join the expanding Leasing team in Milton Keynes on a 12 month initial contract. This role plays a key part in supporting the effective management of the end-of-contract vehicle lifecycle, ensuring processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with industry guidelines. The position involves reviewing vehicle damage in accordance with BVRLA standards, coordinating collections, and managing de-fleet activities to ensure a smooth transition at contract end.
Please note: this is a hybrid role working at least 3 days a week in the office, once initial new starter training is complete. You will be based initially in our Newport Pagnell office (for up to 6 months) and then will be working in our Milton Keynes office.
Responsibilities will include:
- Review end of contract vehicle damage and process in accordance with BVRLA guidelines
- Action requests and support the wider business with any end of contract query
- Follow the de-fleet processes and support the wider business
- Supporting collection of vehicles when required and associated tasks
- To deal with all incoming communication and where appropriate, resolve within Company Policy and service levels
- Ensure each communication is dealt with in a professional manner
- Clearly and accurately document any actions taken
- Provide an exceptional level of service, adapting to different scenarios and challenges
- Make informed decisions collaboratively with customers to provide appropriate solutions
- Understand issues from the customer’s perspective, by asking pertinent questions to drive further understanding
- Gathering information from relevant external parties
- To develop and maintain appropriate knowledge in products, procedures, policy, legislation and technology
- Adhere to company complaints policies & procedures
- To be able to multitask and be flexible within the tasks delegated on a daily basis
- To ensure all customer related data is accurately recorded and always factual in line with GDPR
- Achieving monthly targets set by the leadership team
- Resolving queries within agreed authority
- Adhering to our commitment to Consumer Duty ensuring we put our customers’ needs first and set higher and clearer standards of consumer protection
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in an administrative role dealing with customers both verbally and in writing
- Must possess first class written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders across the business
- Strong attention to detail and produce work to the highest standard
- Must display sound time management skills by delivering activity within prescribed timeframes through the effective prioritisation of actions (self and team) across multiple tasks
- Must be capable of planning daily work allocation to prioritise urgent and important tasks first and then work through all other tasks keeping to deadlines
- Computer Literacy/MS office skills (including Outlook/Excel/Word etc)
