As an Operational Resilience Manager, you'll work with an expert team to provide thought leadership to the Business on improving the resilience of their critical services to clients and ability to withstand significant disruptions. You'll support with the upkeep of Risk Management Information for the Operational Resilience Function, including the reporting of metrics, risk and control self-assessments and governance reporting. You'll proactively identify, assess and escalate risks and issues for remediation. This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing team, with keen regulatory focus within the risk and SCIB business area.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Supporting the alignment and embedding of Operational Resilience in key pillars including Operational Risk, Business Continuity Management, Third Party Risk Management, Cyber and Compliance
  • Leading on the presentation of reporting to key governance forums such as Resources Forum and Non-Financial Risk Management
  • Reviewing the data in the Operational Resilience tools on an ongoing basis to monitor the resilience risk profile of the organisation
  • Managing the Operational Resilience training and awareness programme in collaboration with relevant subject matter experts
  • Maintaining and regularly reviewing the library of Operational Resilience controls
  • Executing an Operational Resilience scenario testing framework, including designing scenarios, maintaining a scenario library, taking scenarios through governance, coordinating the execution of the testing exercise, and producing outcome reports

What you’ll bring:

These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

  • Experience of Operational, Business and IT Resilience, Third Party Risk Management or Enterprise Risk Management
  • Track record of running scenario tests for Important Business Services including scenario design, methodology and a consequence model for failed tests

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Understanding of the PRA and FCA's Operational Resilience requirements
  • Experience of Resilience programs or business service framework design and implementation
  • Experience executing an Operational Resilience Control Framework within financial services
  • Experience in the identification, evaluation and prioritisation of risks and Business process mapping

What else you need to know:

This role is based at our offices in Triton Square, London located within easy walking distance from Warren Street and Euston. We want our people to thrive at work and home, and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 3 days a week (pro-rata for part-time roles). If you apply for this role in this location, it’s important you consider your travelling distance, time and cost from your home to the office location. We’re happy to discuss specific working patterns and arrangement within this hybrid approach during the recruitment process. How we’ll reward you:

As well as a competitive salary, you’ll enjoy a benefits package that you can tailor to your needs. Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus. We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don’t contribute yourself. We’ll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer. 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5yrs service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year.
