Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is Santander’s global division that supports some of the world’s most complex and sophisticated corporate and institutional clients, offering customised services and value-added wholesale products to best meet their needs. Santander’s Corporate DCM Solutions team brings together the bank’s strategic advisory and execution capabilities across a range of non-vanilla DCM products (Liability Management, Corporate Hybrids and USPP). The team is responsible for the idea generation, structuring and execution of strategic debt financing transactions for key SCIB clients, with a primary focus on European Corporates. We partner with Global Banking coverage and industry teams, Corporate Finance, Syndicate, Debt Advisory and RSG teams to deliver value-added financing solutions for our clients’ needs and support the origination of fixed income transactions.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Corporate DCM Solutions business, with a focus on Liability Management, by collaborating with Banking, Syndicate, and other specialist teams to deliver innovative financing solutions and execute debt capital markets transactions for our clients.
- Collecting, analysing and interpreting complex datasets, building financial transaction models, and maintaining proprietary databases to support strategic decision‑making.
- Developing compelling presentation materials and engaging directly with clients and external parties to support transaction execution and strategic discussions.
- Managing transactions that typically involve multiple product areas across liability management, corporate hybrids and bank capital, operating across IG and HY markets.
Qualifications
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent, preferably in a quantitative subject (Economics, Finance, Maths).
- Hard working, proactive, solution‑oriented, able to deliver high‑quality work under time pressure.
- Clear and concise communicator (both verbally and in writing).
- Willing to learn and adopt emerging AI technologies and workflows.
- Confident to speak up with ideas, embrace change and seek innovative ways to improve existing processes.
- Proficient in Excel modelling and other MS Office applications (Bloomberg a plus).
- Pass the CISI Regulatory, Securities and Derivatives modules.
It would also be nice for you to have:
- Previous experience in DCM, Liability Management, Capital Solutions, Rating Advisory or equivalent role.
- Solid understanding of capital markets, financial reporting, and fundamental credit analysis.
- Fluency in other European languages.

This role is based at our offices in Triton Square, London, located within easy walking distance from Warren Street and Euston.
