Santander UK is looking for an IBS, ITOL, Mapping & Vulnerability Manager based out of Unity Place, Milton Keynes or Glasgow. The purpose of the role is to oversee the entire lifecycle of data within the organisation from acquisition and storage to analysis and dissemination. Responsible for ensuring that data assets are managed effectively, securely and in compliance with regulations and organisational policies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual Important Business Services (IBS) refresh and importance assessment, supported by structured methodologies and data validation controls.
  • Deliver ITOL (Impact Tolerance) calibration using quantitative models and evidence‑based challenge frameworks.
  • Design and maintain end‑to‑end service mapping architecture, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and traceability across systems and processes.
  • Implement data‑led dependency modelling across technology, cyber, data, and third‑party ecosystems to identify systemic vulnerabilities.
  • Develop mapping data models, lineage, and integration pipelines to enable consistent and scalable resilience insights.
  • Establish data quality frameworks and controls to ensure mapping integrity, consistency, and audit readiness.
  • Drive vulnerability identification through advanced analytics, linking mapping outputs to risk registers, remediation actions, and Board‑level MI.
  • Provide SME challenge across multiple domains (technology, cyber, data, third‑party) to ensure robust resilience outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience designing and implementing end‑to‑end service mapping, dependency modelling, or operational resilience frameworks (Required).
  • Strong experience in data analysis, data modelling, and data‑driven risk identification (Required).
  • Experience working with IBS, ITOL, or regulatory resilience frameworks within financial services (Required).
  • Experience delivering complex data integration or transformation programmes (Preferred).

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in Data, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Preferred).
  • Professional certifications in Data Management, Risk, or Operational Resilience frameworks (Preferred).

Language

  • English (Required).

  • Strong knowledge of data modelling, data lineage, and mapping architecture (Required).
  • Experience with data integration, data flows, and dependency mapping across complex systems (Required).
  • Expertise in data quality frameworks, validation techniques, and control design (Required).
  • Understanding of operational resilience frameworks (IBS, ITOL) and regulatory expectations (Required).
  • Experience applying analytical techniques to identify systemic risk and vulnerabilities (Required).
  • Knowledge of information architecture and data governance frameworks (Preferred).

Benefits & Compensation

  • Salary range: £54,000.00 – £81,000.00 per annum (depending on experience).
  • 30 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year.
  • £6,000 car allowance per year.
  • Company‑funded private medical insurance, death‑in‑service benefit, income protection insurance and discounted rates for additional life assurance and critical illness cover.
  • Eligibility for Santander share plans.
