As an analyst in the M&A and Corporate Finance Team within the European Banking and Corporate Finance Division (BCF), you’ll support senior investment bankers focussing on Infrastructure and Industrials. You’ll help them develop and maintain global client relationships across all industry sectors as well as execute M&A and financing mandates. You’ll help deliver the growth and financial objectives of BCF, via origination and execution of M&A and Corporate Finance business opportunities.
The difference you’ll make:
- Actively contributing and implementing strategic ideas and content to originate investment banking business, including M&A, Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, acquisition finance and leverage finance transactions
- Partnering with colleagues across the bank to provide relevant solutions
- Supporting the development and strengthening our client relationships, including deep understanding of clients’ changing needs
- Creating and analysing operating and financial models, preparing client presentations, supporting transaction processes, and structuring transactions
- Taking responsibility for development of client materials, typically in conjunction with Associates/VPs and product and sector teams
- Preparing for and participating in client meetings
- Performing corporate and credit risk analysis, in relation to leverage finance and other Corporate Finance related transactions
- Undertaking extra-curricular activities to assist the senior management in the running of the BCF business
- Building and maintaining productive internal and external networks

- Previous experience in an M&A role within Investment Banking
- Strong financial modelling skills as well as ability to perform complex valuation and other corporate finance analysis to a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed qualitative and quantitative research skills
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
It would also be nice for you to have:
- CISI Qualification
- MBA or Master’s degree
- Other linguistic capabilities including spoken and written Spanish and/or Portuguese

- Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus.
- We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don’t contribute yourself. We’ll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer.
