What you will do in your day to day…
Wearelookingfora Risk&Compliance Officerin London, responsibleforsupportingtheimplementation, maintenanceandcontinuousimprovementofthe Enterprise Risk Management(ERM)Frameworkand Compliance Frameworkwithin Banco Sabadell, London Branch.
The role will support the Branch in meeting its regulatory obligations across risk management, operational resilience, AML and Financial Crime, ensuring effective internal controls, data integrity and alignment with UK regulatory expectations from the FCA and PRA.
The position offers broad exposure across the business, with regular interaction with local stakeholders and Group teams.
Your main responsibilities will include
- Supporttheimplementationandcontinuousenhancementofthe Enterprise Risk Management(ERM)Framework, ensuringalignmentwithrecognisedstandardssuchas ISO31000and COSOframeworks.
- Maintainandoverseekeyriskmanagementtools, including Risk Registers, Incident Registers, Risk&Control Matricesand Key Risk Indicators(KRIs), ensuringaccurateassessment, monitoringandreportingofriskexposures.
- Performsecondlineofdefencecontrols, ensuringappropriatedocumentation, evidenceandconsistencywithinternalstandardsandregulatoryexpectations.
- Supportthecoordinationof Risk Committees, includingpreparationofmaterials, reportingofriskexposuresandfollow-upofagreedactions.
- Contributetothedevelopment, reviewandmonitoringofpolicies, proceduresandinternalcontrolframeworks.
- Supporttheimplementationandmaintenanceofthe Operational Resilience Frameworkinlinewith PRASS1/21and FCArequirements.
- Assistintheidentificationandmappingof Important Business Services(IBSs), Business Impact Assessments(BIAs), impacttolerancesandrecoveryobjectives.
- Supportscenariotestingactivitiesandmonitorremediationactionsarisingfromresiliencereviewsandregulatoryexpectations.
- Execute Financial Crimeand Compliancecontrols, including AMLreviews, transactionscreening, alertmanagement, KYC, CDDand EDDprocesses.
- Providesupporttobusinessareasonclientonboarding, documentationreviews, riskclassificationandescalationofhigher-riskcases.
- Contributetoregulatorychangemanagementactivities, includingregulatoryanalysis, gapassessmentsandtrackingofremediationplans.
- Support Compliance Monitoringactivities, regulatoryreportingandthepreparationof Compliance Committeesdocumentation.
- Collect, analyseandinterpretdatafrommultiplesourcestoprovidemeaningfulinsightsintoriskandcomplianceexposures.
- Developreportinganddatavisualisationsolutionsusingtoolssuchas Power BI, leveragingemergingtechnologieswhereappropriatetoimproveanalysisandreportingcapabilities.
