About the role:
- Originate, structure, and execute DCM transactions for Financial Institutions with particular focus on the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, and the Nordic region.
- The job includes preparing presentations and market updates, speaking to clients, visiting clients, and executing transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Market monitoring, including macro scenarios, interest rates, and secondary bonds market.
- Produce Market Updates and new issue proposals for Issuers, including new issue levels, market considerations, product & timing recommendations, etc.
- Continuous dialogue with Clients, giving valuable market inputs and actively promoting new issuance opportunities, both in public and private formats.
- Drive the origination of commercial opportunities with financial clients in the region under his/her responsibility. Focus on reinforcing BBVA relationships with the clients and identifying new business opportunities.
- Support his/her team in solving problems and bottlenecks with the different internal units.
- Boost the coordination with the Research unit, leveraging on the BBVA research capabilities to offer added value services to the customers. Take into account research recommendations and market views to generate new product ideas and proposals.
- Anticipate market opportunities for specific Issuers and products.
- Advice to Issuers on: Regulatory Funding, Funding Plan, and mix of instruments in Capital Markets.
- Work in close coordination with Syndicate, Legal, and Risk departments.
- Organise Marketing activities with Clients: Non-deal Roadshows, Issuers & Investors forum, etc.
- Contribute to training of Analysts to be allocated to his/her business area.
What are we looking for?
Qualifications:
- Academic background, previous experience: Valuable University degree – BA or higher.
Languages and technical knowledge:
- English mandatory.
- Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, or Spanish optional.
Soft skills:
- A strong Team-player who is able to work in an intense, fast-paced, international work environment is essential.
This position will require the candidate to have a valid Mifid certification. In case the candidate is not certified, they will have to obtain the pertaining certification upon the incorporation.
