Banana Moon Day in Hounslow are seeking a dedicated and experienced Room Leader to join our newly established nurseries team. As a Room Leader, you will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in your care. You will lead and support your team to deliver high-quality education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring that each child's individual needs are met and their development is supported through inspiring play and learning activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the daily operations of your room
- Overseeing planning and assessments
- Supporting and mentoring staff
- Building strong relationships with parents and carers to ensure excellent communication and collaboration
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
- Proven experience working in a nursery setting, with experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team of childcare professionals
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Enhanced DBS check and relevant safeguarding training
- Flexible and proactive approach to work with a passion for early years education
