Join the team at Banana Moon! We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Room Leader at Banana Moon Day Nurseries to create a warm and inspiring environment where children can thrive and develop. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in the daily activities of the nursery and contribute significantly to the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum to ensure quality educational experiences for children.
  • Supervise the nursery team, providing guidance and support to ensure all staff understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Foster a secure and caring atmosphere for children, where their individual needs are met and celebrated.
  • Monitor children's progress and maintain relevant records, sharing updates with parents and colleagues.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to, including safeguarding, health and safety, and quality assurance processes.
  • Engage with parents and families to build strong relationships and provide regular updates on children's development.
  • Be a role model for staff and students, promoting good practice and a positive culture within the nursery.

Requirements

  • A minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting, ideally in a leadership role.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and provide support and guidance to others.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
