Banana Moon Day Nursery in Croydon are looking for an experienced Nursery Manager. As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management, ensuring the highest standards of care and education for children in a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment. You will lead and motivate a dedicated team of early years professionals to deliver outstanding care and learning experiences, while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, including staff management, recruitment, and deployment
- Implement and adhere to company policies, procedures, and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Ensure the nursery maintains a high standard of care, health, safety, and well-being for children
- Develop strong relationships with children, parents, and the local community to promote the nursery's reputation and occupancy
- Lead training, mentoring, and professional development for the nursery team to promote continuous improvement
- Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections and other regulatory audits
The role requires excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills with a passion for early years education.
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
- Experience in a nursery setting with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role
- Deep knowledge of the EYFS framework and statutory requirements
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- Paediatric First Aid certificate
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
