Overview
Banana Moon Day Nurseries is currently seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner for Lunch Cover to join our dedicated team. This role is vital in ensuring that our children receive high-quality care and supervision during lunchtime, allowing them to enjoy their meals in a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist children during lunchtime, ensuring they are well-fed and comfortable
- Supervise and engage children in lunchtime activities, maintaining a positive atmosphere
- Support the meal preparation and clear-up process alongside kitchen staff
- Maintain a healthy and safe environment for children, following all safeguarding policies
- Build positive relationships with children, thus enhancing their social skills and interactions
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding their children\’s lunchtime experience
- Work closely with other staff members during lunch cover shifts to ensure continuity of care
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
- Experience working with young children, preferably in a nursery or childcare setting
- Strong knowledge of child development and best practices in early years education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Passionate about promoting a positive, safe, and engaging environment for children
- DBS check and right to work in the UK
