Banana Moon Kempston is a thriving nursery looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and motivational Senior to lead our PreSchool room. This is an exciting opportunity to help lead a setting where we focus on encouraging children to be children, learning through fun and engaging play. You will be working with a dedicated team in a caring, family friendly, characterful, and stimulating environment which is inviting to children, families, and staff.
The Pre School Senior will have responsibility as a Room Leader alongside supporting the management with leadership of the team in the daily running of the nursery. You will support the operation of the nursery facilities and staff, to ensure a high quality, balanced provision of leading practice education and care is always delivered. You will have responsibility for company adherence to Banana Moon policies and procedures, and you will consistently ensure we are meeting legislative requirements and following education curriculum, delivering standards which ensure highest possible inspection grading.
As a senior, you will assist with the training, support, mentoring, role modelling and supervision of your staff team inspiring and leading ambitious practice, and create a safe, caring, and welcoming setting in which families are happy to entrust their child and where their child is encouraged and supported to flourish in an enabling and stimulating environment. You will embrace engaging with the local community and marketing the nursery whilst providing excellent customer care.
Responsibilities- Lead the PreSchool room as Room Leader and support the management with leadership of the team in the daily running of the nursery.
- Ensure high quality provision of education and care, adhering to Banana Moon policies and procedures and meeting legislative requirements.
- Follow the education curriculum and deliver standards to achieve the highest possible inspection grading.
- Train, support, mentor, role model and supervise staff to promote ambitious practice and a safe, welcoming environment for families and children.
- Engage with the local community and market the nursery while delivering excellent customer care.
- A full and relevant level 3 qualification.
- DBS enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sector.
- At least 1 year of experience in a nursery setting.
- Satisfactory answers to our Staff Suitability Declaration.
- Paediatric 12hr First Aid certificate β desired but not essential.
- Safeguarding training and qualification β desired but not essential.
