Overview

Banana Moon Day Nursery Barnstaple is seeking a dedicated and passionate Room Leader to join our dynamic team! As a Room Leader, you will be instrumental in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for our children, ensuring they thrive both emotionally and intellectually.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a designated room, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Work collaboratively with your team to plan and implement engaging learning activities that cater to individual children\’s needs, interests, and developmental stages
• Observe and assess children\’s progress, and maintain accurate records to provide feedback to parents and support their child\\\’s development
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, ensuring effective communication and support
• Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children within your care, adhering to all nursery policies and procedures at all times
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, fostering a positive and team-oriented atmosphere
• Contribute to the overall success and reputation of the nursery by promoting a welcoming and friendly environment

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
• Proven experience working with children in a nursery setting
• Excellent understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Passionate about providing high-quality care and learning for children
• A commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare
