Banana Moon Day Nurseries is currently seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner for Lunch Cover to join our dedicated team.
This role is vital in ensuring that our children receive high‑quality care and supervision during lunchtime, allowing them to enjoy their meals in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist children during lunchtime, ensuring they are well‑fed and comfortable
- Supervise and engage children in lunchtime activities, maintaining a positive atmosphere
- Support the meal preparation and clear‑up process alongside kitchen staff
- Maintain a healthy and safe environment for children, following all safeguarding policies
- Build positive relationships with children, thus enhancing their social skills and interactions
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding their children's lunchtime experience
- Work closely with other staff members during lunch cover shifts to ensure continuity of care
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
- Experience working with young children, preferably in a nursery or childcare setting
- Strong knowledge of child development and best practices in early years education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Passionate about promoting a positive, safe, and engaging environment for children
- DBS check and right to work in the UK
