Banana Moon Day Nursery Hamilton is looking for an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead our fantastic team and continue creating a warm, nurturing environment where children can thrive. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference, working alongside the Area Manager and Director to lead a happy, successful nursery with high standards of care, education and safeguarding.
About The Role
As Nursery Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, leading and supporting your team while ensuring outstanding care for children and excellent service for families. You'll be responsible for staffing, compliance, occupancy, financial performance and maintaining the highest quality standards and embracing Banana Moon policies and procedures, you'll consistently meet legislative requirements and follow an enriching education curriculum, achieving the highest possible inspection grading.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a passionate early years team by providing guidance, training, and support
- Ensure outstanding care, learning and safeguarding
- Manage nursery operations, staffing and budgets
- Build positive relationships with children, families and the local community
- Maintain compliance with EYFS and statutory requirements
- Promote the nursery within the local community to support occupancy and enhance reputation
- Drive continuous improvement and prepare for inspections
Salary up to £38,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
Requirements
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
- GCSE Maths (Grade C/4 or equivalent)
- At least 5 years' post-qualification experience in early years
- A minimum of 2 years' nursery management (or similar leadership) experience
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) registered on the update service
- Paediatric 12-hour First Aid certificate
- Relevant safeguarding training and qualification
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
