Banana Moon Day Nurseries are seeking a dedicated and passionate Room Leader to join our team. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of nursery practitioners to provide exceptional care and education for children in your room. You will ensure a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment that supports children's development and learning according to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, supporting, and motivating the room team to deliver high quality childcare and education.
  • Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that promote children's development across all areas.
  • Ensuring all nursery policies and procedures are followed, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Building positive relationships with children and their families to support individual needs and progress.
  • Monitoring and assessing children's development, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Contributing to the overall smooth running of the nursery.

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a team within a nursery setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver stimulating and developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
