Banana Moon Day Nurseries is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Nursery Practitioner (Relief) to join our team on a flexible basis. In this important role, you will provide high-quality care and early years education to children, ensuring their well-being, development, and safety during your shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children’s learning and development.
  • Support the daily routines of the nursery, including meal times, play, and rest periods.
  • Observe and assess children’s progress, contributing to planning and development records.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and families.
  • Work collaboratively with other nursery staff to ensure smooth operation and consistent care.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about children’s activities and well-being.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to cover shifts as required, including short notice relief work.

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working as a Nursery Practitioner or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of child development and early years frameworks.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to various shifts and settings.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to providing a nurturing and safe environment for children.
  • Valid DBS check and right to work in the UK.
