We’re looking for warm, passionate Level 3 Nursery Practitioners to join our team at Banana Moon Day Nursery. Whether you’re after:
- Full-time hours (your main role)
- Part-time hours (fixed days or reduced hours)
- Bank / relief work (as-and-when to suit you)
- Lunch cover (perfect if you need short, consistent shifts)
You’ll help create a safe, happy, engaging environment where children feel confident, cared for, and excited to learn through play.
What you’ll be doing
- Deliver high-quality childcare and early education in line with the EYFS
- Build strong, nurturing relationships with children and families
- Observe, assess and plan for children’s learning and development
- Support daily routines including meals, rest and play
- Keep developmental records up to date with meaningful observations
- Set up activities, resources and room displays to keep learning fun and stimulating
- Work closely with your Room Leader and team to maintain a positive, well-run room
- Maintain ratios and follow nursery policies and procedures
- Keep safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene standards consistently high
- Communicate professionally with parents and carers to support trusted relationships
What we’re looking for
- Level 3 Early Years qualification essential (CACHE / NVQ / Diploma in Childcare or equivalent)
- Nursery/childcare experience preferred
- A caring, positive, professional approach
- Reliable, flexible and a genuine team player
- Confident supporting children’s needs, routines and development
- A sense of humour and resilience (because no two days are ever the same!)
