We are looking for an experienced Hair Salon Manager to take full ownership of our boutique 3‑chair salon located at Daylesford Farm. The role combines creative hairdressing expertise with commercial and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop two stylists, set standards through hands‑on demonstration, manage scheduling and workload, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching.
- Operational Management: Oversee day‑to‑day salon operations, ensure smooth workflow across all 3 chairs, manage inventory, stock levels, and retail merchandising, and maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Client Experience & Service Quality: Deliver premium 5‑star service while styling, resolve client feedback, drive client retention and repeat bookings, and upsell products.
- Commercial Performance: Maximise appointment utilisation, upselling, and retail sales, monitor KPIs, report salon performance, and support marketing initiatives and promotions. Prepare and manage the salon budget, including labour, products, and operational costs.
Full‑time role (40 hours per week) with a salary of £40,000–£45,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus commission.
Qualifications- Minimum 5 years senior stylist experience and experience running a small salon business.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Hairdressing.
- Proven technical expertise and leadership capability.
- Strong communication, customer service, and coaching skills.
- Commercially aware with a track record of driving revenue and productivity.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage a small team effectively.
- Well‑groomed, professional appearance.
