A permanent position has arisen for a Time Served Welder / Sheet Metal Fabricator for our large manufacturing client based in Rochdale. In this role you will play an integral part in the production team, carrying out welding, fabrication and assembly work to a high standard while supporting the manufacture of high-quality equipment and related components.
Responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out TIG and MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel components
- Performing brazing and manual plasma cutting
- Operating press brake, rollers and guillotine machinery
- Marking out and setting up materials for fabrication
- Fabricating pipework and complex assemblies
- Working alongside an experienced engineering team on high-quality combustion equipment
- Participating in occasional site work where required
Requirements:
- Time served Welder / Sheet Metal Fabricator
- Experience with TIG and MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Strong fabrication and assembly skills
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with pipework welding would be desirable
- Previous experience within a similar engineering or manufacturing environment would be beneficial
- Site work experience would be advantageous
