Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Rochdale, is looking to recruit an experienced Projects & Manufacturing Engineer to join their Technical Sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional to play a key role in new project introduction, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination within a fast-paced production environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales teams to ensure the successful delivery of customer projects while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Support and coordinate new product introduction and development projects
- Manage cross-functional project activities across Production, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales
- Drive process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to support smooth project implementation
- Prepare project status updates and support NPI activities
- Maintain accurate specifications, BOMs, routings, and project documentation within the ERP system
- Manage product samples and associated documentation
- Support ERP system development and process improvements
- Review existing manufacturing processes and identify efficiency improvements
- Assist with product costing, pricing, and production cost analysis
- Essential: Minimum 5 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards
- Experience working with manufacturing ERP systems
- Strong background in process improvement / continuous improvement
- HND qualified in an Engineering discipline
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Full UK driving licence
- Desirable: Experience within plastics, moulding, or added-value manufacturing
- Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline
