Our client, a well-established electrical contractor based in Rochdale, is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and conscientious engineer looking to work for a company where they are valued as an individual rather than just another number.
Role
You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and small works across a range of fire and security systems, with the majority of work located across Greater Manchester. The role also includes participation in the on-call rota (currently 1 week in 4) with additional standby and call-out payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fire and security systems
- Service, diagnose faults, and repair fire alarms and security systems
- Complete minor installations and remedial works where required
- Ensure work is completed to industry standards and company procedures
- Provide a professional and reliable service to clients while on site
Systems Experience
Experience with some of the following systems would be advantageous: Protec, Advanced, Kentec, Morley, Galaxy, Texecom, Orisec, PAC, Paxton, Videx, ConceptPro, HikVision.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ checkable experience within the fire and security industry
- Relevant industry qualifications appropriate to the role
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
Package
- £37,500 basic salary
- 20 days annual leave plus public holidays
- On-call rota (1 in 4) with standby and call-out payments

- Work primarily across Greater Manchester
