Contract: Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
On behalf of our client based in Littleborough, we are recruiting a number of Manufacturing, Machine and General Operatives to join their busy production team with immediate starts available. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing company that values its employees, provides full training, and offers genuine opportunities to secure a permanent position.
The Role
Successful candidates will work as part of a fast-paced manufacturing team, carrying out a variety of production and machine operating duties to support the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating production machinery safely and efficiently (full training provided)
- Loading and unloading machinery
- Assembly of products using hand and power tools
- Sanding, finishing and quality checking products
- Packing and preparing finished goods for dispatch
- Following production schedules and work instructions
- Carrying out manual handling and general operative duties
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety
- Supporting colleagues across different production departments when required
About You
We’re looking for reliable, hardworking individuals with a positive attitude who enjoy hands-on work. Previous experience in any of the following would be advantageous, although not essential:
- Manufacturing
- Production
- Machine Operating
- Assembly
- Warehouse
- General Operative work
- Factory or Industrial environments
We also welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds in labouring, construction, mechanics, joinery, engineering or other practical, hands-on roles.
You should:
- Be reliable and punctual
- Have a good work ethic
- Be comfortable carrying out manual and physical tasks
- Be willing to learn new skills
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Have a strong awareness of health and safety
