Job Role – Assembly Operatives / Technicians
Location: Middleton
Rate Of Pay – £13.14/hour
Contract Type – Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-15:30, Friday 07:00-13:00
We are working alongside a globally recognised manufacturer of electrical and electronic safety components. With over 100 years of innovation and expertise, this company continues to set the standard in its field, offering fantastic opportunities for skilled and motivated individuals to grow their careers.
We\’re currently looking for Assembly Operatives / Technicians to support both the Service and Production teams. This is a hands‑on role where your technical skills and attention to detail will make a real impact.
What You\’ll Be Doing:
- Investigating and repairing faults as needed
- Writing reports and completing documentation to support production records
- Occasionally assisting on-site with equipment (with a long‑term opportunity for field‑based support)
- Collaborating within a team or working independently as needed
- Building mechanical and electrical sub‑assemblies to precise specifications
- Fitting and mounting components with care and accuracy
- Performing bench work, including electrical function testing
- Conducting in‑process inspections using technical drawings and visual aids
- Working with hand tools such as Verniers, torque wrenches, and Cleco systems
- Rotating across different workstations to support a dynamic workflow
- Reading and interpreting industrial‑standard technical drawings and work instructions
What We\’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in mechanical and/or electrical assembly
- Confidence in fault‑finding and solving problems on the spot
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
- Experience working in high‑volume production environments
- Good hand tool skills and basic understanding of tool care and maintenance
- The ability to read and follow schematics, diagrams, and technical instructions
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality
- Strong communication skills and a proactive work ethic
