About The Role

The Bamford Collection is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our Finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract during an exciting period of business transformation and structural change. This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly or recently qualified accountant from practice to gain valuable industry experience within a dynamic, fast-paced and purpose-led business. Working closely with the wider Finance team, you will support the delivery of high-quality statutory and management reporting, maintain balance sheet integrity, and assist with the group audit process across the Collection’s diverse brands and operations. The role offers broad exposure across financial operations and transformation initiatives, making it ideally suited to someone looking to develop their commercial experience while contributing to key finance projects within a growing luxury lifestyle and hospitality group.

SALARY: £45,000-£60,000 per annum (pro rata for a 6-month fixed-term contract)

HOURS: 40 hours a week, 5 days in the office, Kingham, Oxfordshire.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key contact for external auditors, coordinating audit requests and preparing supporting documentation to ensure timely completion of the group audit.
  • Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts, resolving outstanding items and improving reconciliation processes and reporting standards.
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and reporting commentary.
  • Assist with statutory reporting, including financial statement preparation, intercompany activity and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Contribute to process improvements and support the Finance team through a period of transformation and structural change.

Skills And Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (no industry experience required; straight from practice is welcomed).
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including financial statements preparation and audit methodology.
  • Experience of balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close processes gained in an audit or accounting practice environment.
  • Familiarity with FRS 102 and UK GAAP.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to liaise directly with auditors and senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting or ERP software is an advantage.
