About The Role
As our People Advisor, you'll work closely with the People Partners to provide a trusted, proactive people service across the Bamford Collection.
Supporting our diverse business across Retail, Hospitality and Wellness, you'll build strong relationships with managers, provide practical advice on a wide range of people matters, and help create a positive employee experience while ensuring our policies and employment practices are applied fairly and consistently.
Fulltime, 40 hours a week and office based at the Daylesford Farm, Gloucestershire.
Salary £40,000 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide proactive advice and guidance to managers on a wide range of people matters, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence and probationary issues.
- Support the People Partners in managing employee relations cases, conducting investigations and hearings, and maintaining accurate case records.
- Build trusted relationships with managers, coaching and supporting them to confidently manage their teams in line with Company policies and UK employment legislation.
- Assist with the development, review and consistent application of people policies and procedures across the Bamford Collection.
- Support absence management, probation reviews, exit interviews, organisational change and TUPE processes where required.
- Monitor employee relations trends, providing insights and recommendations to support continuous improvement.
- Deliver training and guidance to managers on people management best practice and Company policies.
- Contribute to People Team projects, including engagement, wellbeing, policy development and the implementation of new people systems and initiatives.
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about people and enjoys working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
- Previous experience in a People Advisor or HR Advisor role.
- Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience managing a variety of employee relations cases from start to finish.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to advise managers at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach with sound commercial judgement.
- The ability to build credible relationships and maintain confidentiality.
- Experience working within hospitality, retail or multi‑site environments would be advantageous.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
