About The Role At the Bamford Collection, we celebrate craftsmanship, sustainability, and timeless design across everything we create. We are now looking for an inspiring and commercially minded Buyer to shape and evolve our beautifully curated Homeware collection. In this exciting role, you will curate and shape our Homeware offering across all channels, ensuring it reflects our commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, natural materials, and timeless design. You will be responsible for identifying, negotiating and buying premium homeware products from trusted makers and artisans, nurturing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and building complimentary collections that enhance in-house design and product development. Working closely with our creative, retail, and production teams, you will act as the vital link between our suppliers, workshops, and our customer proposition ensuring every product we bring to market meets the highest standards of quality, aesthetic integrity, and ethical production. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate Buyer to influence a distinctive and growing lifestyle brand, helping to bring beautifully considered products into the homes of our customers while staying true to the Bamford philosophy. This is a full-time role 40 hours per week and based at the Daylesford Farm office 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Buying, Sourcing & Supplier Management: Lead the sourcing strategy across Homeware categories including tableware, kitchenware, textiles, candles & fragrance, décor, gifting, and seasonal collections. Build and maintain strong relationships with artisan producers, ethical manufacturers, and sustainable suppliers to ensure exceptional quality, craftsmanship, and traceability in order to drive differentiation where possible.
  • Product Development & Range Management: Curate and manage the Homeware range across all channels, working closely with design and product development teams to introduce new collections, seasonal edits, and exclusive collaborations that reflect the brand’s aesthetic, prioritising our brand where possible, securing exclusivity where possible.
  • Quality, Sustainability & Compliance: Ensure all products meet the company’s high standards for quality, durability, sustainability, and design integrity. Partner with technical and sustainability teams to uphold safety standards, material certifications, and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Insights: Work closely with retail, marketing, and digital teams to ensure the range is effectively presented in-store and online. Use reporting, market trends, and customer insights to inform buying decisions and continuously evolve the homeware offering.

Skills You Will Bring

  • Extensive experience in a senior buying or procurement role within homeware, lifestyle, or interiors, with a strong understanding of the premium or luxury retail market.
  • Deep knowledge of materials, craftsmanship, and production methods, with an appreciation for quality design and sustainable manufacturing practices.
  • Proven ability to manage margins, pricing strategies, and category performance.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with suppliers while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Awareness of design trends, customer preferences, and market developments to inform product selection and range planning.
  • A keen eye for product quality, design detail, that fits with the Bamford Collection aesthetic and taste, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about homewares, craftsmanship, and sustainable living, combined with strong organisational skills, creative thinking, confident decision-making, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
