ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Chef de Partie to join our passionate kitchen team at Daylesford Heart kitchen where organic produce, sustainability, and culinary excellence come together. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled chef who thrives in a dynamic environment and shares our love for seasonal, nourishing food to work across our farm shop delicatessen, on site restaurants, Daylesford delivered service, and our stunning Heritage House events space.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and cook exceptional dishes using fresh, seasonal and organic ingredients, consistently delivering quality and flavour.
- Support all food production across our deli counters, restaurant operations and delivery service, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
- Assist in the creation and delivery of bespoke menus and service for private events held at Heritage House and within our Market Garden.
- Uphold exemplary standards of food presentation, kitchen cleanliness and food safety at all times.
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and farm shop teams to ensure seamless day‑to‑day operations.
- Actively contribute to menu development, seasonal specials and creative use of available produce.
- Ensure your section is fully prepared and organised for the following day, with fresh and well‑executed mise en place.
- Share your knowledge, skills and passion for food with junior team members, supporting their development and maintaining kitchen standards.
SKILLS YOU WILL BRING
- Strong proficiency in preparing seasonal, organic dishes using fresh, farm‑sourced produce.
- Excellent knife skills, with a solid understanding of a broad range of cooking techniques.
- Proven ability to execute menus and present dishes to consistently high visual and taste standards.
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, including full HACCP compliance.
- Experience supporting preparation for deli counters and delivery services, considered advantageous.
- Adaptability and confidence working across multiple kitchen environments, including farm shop, restaurant and event settings.
- Clear, effective communication skills to support smooth service and coordination across departments.
- Calm, focused and resilient under pressure, particularly during busy services or event set‑ups.

*The on target earning potential for this role is £35,775 per annum based on a 45‑hour contract - comprising a base salary of £31,775 plus a qualified estimate of £4,000 in gratuities and service charge.

*About gratuities & service charge: Gratuities (tips) are paid on a pro‑rata basis. It is estimated that in 2026, our full‑time employees can expect to receive in the range of £4,000 in addition to their annual salary.
