About the Role
The Architectural Assistant supports with the design and delivery of architectural projects across the Bamford Collection. Working closely with the Architecture and Design team, this role will contribute to the development of new spaces as well as the enhancement of existing locations across retail, hospitality, wellness, and residential environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of architectural concepts that reflect the Bamford Collection’s brand identity.
- Produce sketches, mood boards, and design presentations to communicate ideas effectively.
- Support the refinement of spatial planning, layouts, and material palettes.
- Prepare detailed drawings, technical packages, and construction documentation.
- Assist with planning applications and ensure compliance with UK building regulations.
- Contribute to the development of coordinated design information across disciplines.
- Collaborate with internal teams including interiors, branding, and operations to ensure cohesive project outcomes.
- Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to support project delivery.
- Maintain organised project records and documentation.
Skills and Requirements
- Degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in an architectural practice or design environment (internship or professional experience).
- Strong design sensibility with an interest in natural materials, craftsmanship, and sustainable design.
- Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
- Good understanding of architectural drawing standards and technical documentation.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality design output.
