This is a wonderful opportunity to develop your Fundraising career and build on your skills with in a very supportive team environment. You\’ll need some experience of working for a charity and know how about Individual Giving and various income streams but you have scope to learn and progress alongside the CEO and a mentor from a nearby organisation.
We\’re flexible about 4 or 5 days/week and you can work flexible hours and a hybrid agreement where you\’ll be in the office with the rest of the team most of the time. The office base is a lively hub of activity with a range of classes and fun group work for those with sight loss in the community.
The post holder will be responsible for raising funds for Sutton Vision from existing and pipeline Trusts and Foundations and developing other key income streams: legacies, individual giving, community fundraising and corporates relevant to a small, local sight loss charity.
You\’ll enjoy working with the CEO to plan out community and event fundraising for the upcoming 60th Anniversary and join the team to try out and build on local funding opportunities.
Responsibilities:
• With support from the CEO manage and grow the existing pipeline of Trusts and Foundations, with particular emphasis on multi-year relationships and new opportunities;
• Inspire new individual giving supporters to raise money, while maintaining and developing relationships with existing supporters;
• Plan and execute individual giving campaigns, including annual appeals and major gifts
• Explore corporate fundraising opportunities; developing proposals to secure sponsorship and donations;
• Support community fundraising challenges undertaken by supporters.
• Develop and coordinate web-based fundraising including working closely with our Projects and Communications Officer.
• Write and design fundraising communication materials;
• Contribute updates of fundraising events and activities for CONTACT magazine and e-newsletters;
• Write appeals and direct mail in collaboration with other team members.
