Fantastic opportunity for a Registered Manager for a Children's home in Stretford, Greater Manchester. The home is a new service, so the right person will have autonomy in running the services (with the support of the owners).

Main duties of the role:
- To manage the day-to-day operation of the home
- To manage the home on a day-to-day basis with the organisational policies and procedures incorporating the inspecting authorities' standards of requirements
- To ensure children's welfare and development are at the forefront of all support and care
- To promote the educational welfare of each child within the home
- To maintain high standards of childcare and assessments
- Recruit, manage and train staff appropriately
- Ensure policies and procedures are implemented and updated in line with OFSTED and legislation
- To manage the assessment process of the home
- To participate in reviews and meetings with outside professionals and senior managers
Requirements of the role:
- Experience of working as a Deputy Manager or a Registered Manager within Children's services working with children with EBD/challenging behaviour
- Level 3 in Children and Young People Workforce qualification or equivalent; and either achieved or working towards a NVQ or Diploma Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services
- To have a good understanding of the needs of individuals with learning disabilities
- Experience line managing a staff team
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
- Experience facilitating or being involved in an Ofsted inspection and full understanding of the quality standards/children's home regulations 2015
