About the role
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Mentor to join our Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) team.
In this rewarding role, you will support people with disability to build confidence, overcome barriers and achieve their employment goals.
As a Mentor, you will work closely with participants to provide personalised support, guidance and encouragement throughout their employment journey.
You will build strong relationships with participants and employers, helping participants develop the skills, confidence and independence they need to succeed in the workplace.
Key responsibilities
- Provide individualised mentoring and support to participants.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with participants and employers.
- Support participants to identify and work towards their employment goals.
- Assist participants to develop workplace skills, confidence and independence.
- Provide practical support during the transition into employment.
- Maintain regular contact with participants and monitor their progress.
- Identify and address barriers that may impact a participant’s ability to obtain or maintain employment.
- Work collaboratively with employers, colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and timely participant records and case notes.
- Ensure all services are delivered in line with program requirements, policies and procedures.
