The Ferrovial – BAM Rail Systems Joint Venture (FBRS JV) has a proven track record of delivering critical UK infrastructure on time and within budget through strong collaborative partnerships.
Your team will be required to be in the office 4 days at minimum.
As a Data Asset Manager, you will be part of the FBRS Information Management Team (IM) and you will be responsible for defining and delivering against the asset information objectives outlined by FBRS and the client (HS2). Reporting to the Project Information Manager, you will mainly be responsible for managing the FBRS asset database and ensuring full integration with the HS2 asset database AIMS, as well as:
- Developing and maintaining project asset database systems and processes, ensuring data accuracy, security, integrity, and integration with other project and client platforms.
- Providing strategic input into the digital asset information and engineering strategies ensuring that the processes associated with creating and managing asset data fulfil project and client requirements.
- Validating asset data and ensuring compliance with project and client requirements.
- Providing first‐line support to users and troubleshooting technical issues related to the FBRS Asset database and its infrastructure.
- Supporting the creation and development of Asset Information and associated definitions, standards, methods, and procedures.
- Assisting the Information Management (IM) team in enforcing data and asset standards across the project.
- Identifying opportunities and recommendations for improving processes and increasing workflow efficiencies.
- Supporting the integration of Asset information – CAD‐GIS systems within the FBRS project.
- Training internal and external users on Asset database functionalities, information management flows, and best practices.
- Working closely with the client, RSA delivery team, and Project Information Manager to ensure system stability and improvement.
- Collaborating with other departments and ensuring compliance with industry, project, and client standards.
Combination of data management, technical, and analytical skills, often working closely with BIM tools.
What do you bring to the role?
- Proficiency with asset management software, databases, and reporting tools.
- Experience with BIM tools managing project data through the project lifecycle.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, projects, and data streams effectively.
- Ability to interpret client requirements for Asset information.
- Ability to perform Quality Assurance checks according to the project and industry standards.
- Ability to coordinate and manage own workload to support project delivery.
- Familiarity with ETL tools like FME and GIS integrations.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills.
- Understanding of construction processes, asset lifecycles, and industry regulations and standards.
- Experience in large infrastructure projects (preferably Rail), and technical assurance are recommended.
Minimum Qualifications Needed for the Role
- Degree in BIM/Design/Architecture/Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field required.
- Minimum 5 years' experience working with asset management.
- Advanced experience using asset data management software.
- Experience in design delivery and general civil engineering works.
- Experience in asset data integration across BIM models and information management systems.
- Knowledge of building and construction regulations.
- Familiarity with Revit, Bentley software's (ProjectWise, Bentley MicroStation OpenRail Design).
