BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting an experienced Senior Site Manager to join the Northern construction business. As a Senior Site Manager, you will be managing, controlling and supporting the engineering, construction and completion of projects on time and on budget, covering projects in Yorkshire.
Responsibilities
- Management of complex construction process including knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical installations
- Ensure that appropriate quality records are being produced and monitored to verify that the works are produced in accordance with the specification requirements
- Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Management Plan and BAM Operating Procedures including the Construction Phase Management Plan
- Able to work to programme and associated deadlines
- Set up and monitor handover schedules, keys, spares and completion documentation
- Ensuring BAM construction environmental procedures are implemented on site
- Keep site diaries including records of subcontractor attendance and progress
- Manage direct and sub-contractor packages and the keeping of associated records
- Input on buildability issues as required

Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in delivering high quality projects
- Experience working on various types of construction projects. School construction experience would be beneficial although not essential
- Broad construction based technical experience
- A relevant Health & Safety qualification and be competent to carry out site management tasks, ideally SMSTS
- Confident in the use of IT packages and systems
- Self-motivation and ability to work autonomously
- Good communication skills
- HNC/Degree, MCIOB or equivalent or a trade’s background
- Full driving licence
