We’re seeking a Senior QA Engineer to elevate quality across our web, mobile, and backend platforms. You don’t need a collectibles background; what matters is your curiosity, precision, and commitment to building reliable systems. You’ll test new features, strengthen our automation suite, uncover edge cases before they reach customers, and help maintain a seamless experience across the entire Arena Club ecosystem. This role blends both manual and automated testing. You’ll collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Operations to ensure every release meets a high bar for performance, stability, and accuracy.

What You Will Do

  • Design, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases for web, mobile, and backend services
  • Perform manual functional, regression, integration, and usability testing across multiple environments
  • Contribute to and execute automated tests using existing frameworks and tools
  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to define test coverage, acceptance criteria, and edge cases
  • Validate data integrity and workflow behavior across reviewing, grading, vaulting, purchasing, and marketplace features
  • Log, track, and retest defects with clear documentation and reproducible steps
  • Participate in sprint planning, standups, and release readiness activities
  • Help improve QA documentation, tooling, and processes across the team

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of QA experience, including hands‑on testing of web and/or mobile applications
  • Familiarity with backend/API testing and tools such as Postman or similar
  • Proficient in Playwright, Appium, and CI/CD workflows
  • Solid SQL skills (including joins and complex queries) to assist with technical support and data integrity checks
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC
  • Hands‑on experience using AI tools (Claude or Cursor preferred; other agentic tools welcome) to ship code, build agents, and automate workflows
  • Detail‑oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with Product, Engineering, and Operations
  • Nice to have: experience in marketplaces, logistics/ops‑heavy environments, or collectibles

The Arena Club Standard

Life at Arena Club isn’t designed for comfort. We’re building products and experiences the collectibles industry has never seen, and that requires urgency, resilience, and an obsession with excellence. This is where talent comes to prove itself. From day one, you own outcomes. You’re trusted to deliver, expected to raise the bar, and encouraged to innovate beyond what’s been done before. Predictability isn’t part of the deal. Impact is. If you’re ambitious, competitive, and ready to grow faster than you thought possible, step into the arena. This is where you’ll be challenged, supported, and rewarded in ways few environments can match.

How to prepare for a job interview at BAM Ventures

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If BAM Ventures uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
