BAM Site Solutions are recruiting a General Operative based in Wellingborough. Carrying out varied daily duties including the operation of the yard process, this will include the managing of haulage companies entering and leaving the yard. Plan and prioritise with the team to enable plant to be available for delivery and collection with the relevant paperwork.

39 hours a week Monday to Friday. Overtime will be available.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote BAM company values.
  • Work in a safe manner with regards to yourself and others and adhere to the company's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Basic understanding of IT skills.
  • Keep yard in good tidy and safe condition to company standards.
  • Be a good team player that can carry out other jobs requested by the manager.
  • Serve customers internally and externally efficiently, safely and to the company policies and procedures which includes depot inspections.
  • Yard duties as required which would include loading and unloading of equipment.
  • Carry out appropriate equipment and vehicle checks on a routine basis.
  • Complete distribution of hire equipment using company vehicles.
  • Keep workshops and yard safe, clean and tidy to company standards.
  • Complete other Depot duties as requested by the management team.

  • A valid CSCS card.
  • Competency card for Banksman slinger preferable but training can be given.
  • Hold a full clean driving licence.
  • Fork lift licence would be preferable, but training will be given.
