BAM FM is recruiting a dynamic Quality Advisor to join our team. This pivotal role strengthens and elevates the BAM FM Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring alignment with ISO 9001 standards and championing a culture of quality across the organisation. As a mobile role based from one of our local offices (depending on candidate location), you will lead on auditing, monitoring, and measuring performance and compliance, while producing accurate data and insightful reporting. This is a full‑time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Making Possible
As Quality Advisor, you will play a critical part in supporting the Quality Manager by driving high‑quality, compliant, and continuously improving services. You will take ownership of auditing activity, documentation management, workflow coordination, and evidence control to maintain robust compliance across BAM FM operations. You will also deputise for the Quality Manager as required, contributing directly to the strength and resilience of the Quality function.
Responsibilities:
- Quality Management System (QMS) Support
- Conduct internal audits against ISO 9001 and internal BAM quality processes.
- Support the Quality Manager with preparation for external audits, certification activities, and evidence submissions.
- Monitor compliance with the QMS and report deviations, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Documentation, Records & Information Management
- Manage all quality related documentation, ensuring accuracy, version control and traceability.
- Maintain and oversee evidence logs, audit records, test results, assurance documentation and compliance data.
- Ensure all documentation is stored, structured and accessible in line with BAM information governance requirements.
- Coordinate document flow between projects, subcontractors, operations, and central teams.
- Ensure procedures, activity plans, method statements and assurance documents are updated, controlled, and accessible.
- Maintain data integrity across SharePoint, trackers, logs and digital systems.
- Data, Reporting & Insights
- Collate, verify and report quality performance data (KPIs, SLAs, audit outcomes, NCRs, trends).
- Produce reports, dashboards, and insights highlighting risks, gaps and opportunities.
- Support the Quality Manager with evidence packs, management reviews and strategic reporting.
- Workflows & Co-ordination
- Manage and coordinate end-to-end workflows for audits, corrective actions, document reviews, and compliance tasks.
- Proactively chase outstanding actions, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders remain aligned.
- Schedule and coordinate audits, meetings, training and compliance reviews.
- Liaise with operational and site teams to ensure smooth delivery of quality expectations.
- Assurance & Compliance
- Act as Document Controller for quality documentation where needed.
- Ensure site teams understand and follow quality procedures and record keeping expectations.
- Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions through clear documentation and follow up.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen BAM’s quality standards.
- Certification & Accreditation Maintenance
- Keep all certifications and accreditations up to date, including ISO standards, audit related credentials and any BAM required internal qualifications.
- Maintain accurate records of certification renewals, expiry dates, and evidence required for revalidation.
- Coordinate accreditation submissions, re certification planning and required documentation with the Quality Manager.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Provide clear, structured communication on quality matters to teams and stakeholders.
- Offer guidance to operational teams on documentation, record keeping, and compliance obligations.
- Support induction of new team members into documentation and compliance processes.

What do you bring to the role?
Essential:
- Experience in quality, audit, compliance or assurance.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and internal/external auditing.
- Excellent organisational and documentation management skills.
- Strong background in Integrated Facilities Management.
- Strong digital capability (Microsoft 365, SharePoint, QMS or document control tools).
- Proficient in managing and navigating Microsoft SharePoint for documentation and information management.
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
- Strong communication, coordination and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis.
Desirable:
- Experience in FM, construction or technical operations.
- Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualification to an ISO standard 9001.
- Experience managing documentation workflows and evidence systems.
- Experience of creating BI Reports.
- Membership of Chartered Quality Institute.
- Knowledge of ISO 22301 Business Continuity.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001.
