BAM UK&I are looking for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor based in Scotland. This role will be in the Highlands and Islands.

Making Possible Project Support

  • Communicating effectively at all levels including site management, technical specialists, commercial staff, planners, engineers, supervisory staff operatives, suppliers, third parties and client representatives.
  • Maintaining good working relations with client, designer, supply chain and others.
  • Problem Solving: Obtaining and analysing quotations and making recommendations. Support and contribute to Project risk and opportunity planning. Assisting in value recovery.

Safety and Sustainability

  • Maintaining high personal standards in health and safety.
  • Maintaining high standards in environmental awareness and behaviour.

Contract Administration

  • Advise on contractual matters and process contractual claims.
  • Negotiating subcontract and suppliers prices and terms.
  • Procurement of subcontract packages.

What do you bring to the role?

  • Completed Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Commercial Management in the last 2 years or due to complete in 2026 (other relevant disciplines may also be considered).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
