This is an opportunity for a Level Three Apprentice Administrator to support our UK & Ireland Social Sustainability team. We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in social value and the built environment who thrives in a structured, process-driven environment. If you are organised, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, this apprenticeship is a great starting point for your career or a career change.
You will be working closely with colleagues across the team’s senior leadership team (SLT) and wider So Su team, so having strong communication skills and a proactive attitude are essential. Confidence with IT is also key; you will be using standard tools like Microsoft Office as well as other internal systems.

You will receive your apprenticeship training for L3 Business Administration which will take place remotely via online training sessions and 1-1s with a learning coach. Alongside this, you will receive ongoing training through our BAM connect system as well as being exposed to many professional development opportunities open to you in the industry. You will also have access to BAM’s online learning platform, BAM Connect, which supports your ongoing development by keeping you informed about company policies, procedures, and industry regulations relevant to your role.
With the guidance of the senior management team, you will support their work and that of the wider So Su team in the following:
- Diary and Schedule Management: Scheduling meetings, appointments, and room bookings.
- Communication: Managing emails, handling correspondence, and acting as a point of contact.
- Travel and Logistics: Booking accommodation, transport, and creating detailed itineraries.
- Record and Document Production: Production of accurate records and documents including emails, letters, files, payments, reports, and proposals.
- Liaison: Communicating with the wider So Su team on behalf of SLT. Make recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Drafting correspondence and writing reports. Maintaining records and files, handling confidential information in compliance with BAM’s procedures.
- Event Coordination: Organising team regional and UK&Ireland wide meetings and events. Providing general administrative support directed by SLT to the wider team.
This role sits within our UK & Ireland Social Sustainability team and will be based in our Metro office, Salford, Greater Manchester. The role will be supporting 4 business partners based across the country.
