Building a sustainable tomorrow. BAM FM is recruiting a Quality Advisor to join the team. The role is responsible for auditing, monitoring, and measuring the performance and compliance of our Quality Management System (QMS). You will produce data, analyse trends, and provide clear reporting to support continual improvement. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in Facilities Management, Maintenance Services, or similar service environments where employees work across static and mobile client sites. Our aim is to ensure the services and standards we provide are fit for purpose, legally compliant, and consistently meet or exceed customer expectations. This is a role that combines home working, travel to customer sites, and periodic office days—primarily in Solihull. BAM operates a flexible working policy.

Making Possible

  • Support and deputise for the Quality Manager where required.
  • Conduct internal audits against ISO 9001 and the BAM FM Quality Management System.
  • Act as the Document Controller for BAM FM.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across BAM and key stakeholders within BAM FM.
  • Contribute to achieving quality objectives for BAM FM and the wider BAM Group.
  • Maintain and improve quality procedures, standards, and specifications.
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency across the organisation.
  • Assess the effectiveness of implemented changes and quality improvements.
  • Work alongside the FM IT team to ensure availability and accuracy of BI reports that support data-driven decision making.
  • Review performance data to identify weaknesses, recommend corrective actions, and support implementation.
  • Ensure the business operates as effectively and efficiently as possible.

This is a role that combines home working, travel to customer sites, and periodic office days. Office location: Solihull.

What do you bring to the role?

  • Experience in Integrated Facilities Management or a maintenance services environment.
  • ISO9001 Internal Auditor qualification.
  • Practical experience conducting ISO9001 audits.
  • Experience organising external audits and liaising with Accreditation Bodies.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Excel, SharePoint Lists, and SharePoint Pages.
  • Experience in Documented Information Management.
  • Analytical skills with experience in reporting and statistical analysis.
  • Understanding of Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) methodology.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good planning and organisational capabilities.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience creating BI reports.
  • Membership of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI).
  • Knowledge of ISO 22301 (Business Continuity).
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
