KierBAM are a Joint Venture (JV) partnership between Kier and BAM UK & Ireland. BAM UK & Ireland's infrastructure segment is currently delivering the redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site located in Plymouth and we are seeking a Procurement Administrator.
The Procurement Administrator provides administrative support to the procurement team, ensuring smooth operations of procurement activities and client communications. This role involves managing processes, documentation, coordinating with internal departments, and maintaining accurate records to support business objectives.
Due to the site being a high-security military naval base, additional security checks will be required; a BPSS level of security clearance is necessary. These checks can take up to 8 weeks to process. Only candidates holding EU, NATO, 5 Eyes, or MISWG member passports and who have been UK residents for the last 5 years can be considered for this role.
Your team Location: Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth Contract: Permanent, 42.5 hours a week
As Procurement Administrator, you will be working in a live MOD facility. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Manage the project Supply Chain database, change, updates and new supplier input
- Assist in processing purchase orders, invoices, and procurement documentation
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of Procurement documents
- Maintain accurate records of communications, contracts, and transactions
- Support the preparation of Procurement data reports
- Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to resolve any issues
- Monitor compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Organise and update Procurement databases and filing systems
- Provide general administrative support to the Procurement department

- Proven experience in Procurement administration or similar role
- Strong understanding of contract management and commercial operations
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Basic knowledge of financial principles and procurement processes is a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
Desirable:
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or related field
- Experience with ERP or CRM system
