Job Description Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM Ground Engineering is currently recruiting a Plant Mechanic based at our Quarry at Glensanda, near Oban. We are therefore seeking a self-motivated candidate, able and competent to service and repair a variation of plant and equipment and also resolve any mechanical issues. Making Possible As a Plant Mechanic, you will be responsible for the following:Carry out workplace risk assessmentsCommunicate effectively with supervisors and managementResolve technical problems relating to plant and equipment and share knowledgeCarry out and record regular plant inspectionsCarry out scheduled servicing in accordance with manufacturer's specificationsHave knowledge of hydraulics and pneumaticsCarry out on and off-hire PDI inspectionsCarry out pre-examination inspectionsProvide clear and concise data, recordsBe able to read and understand schematicsProvide advice to others in the safe operation and correct maintenance of plantAdvise/seek advice on the modification and development of plant to ensure compliance with Change Control ProceduresIdentify opportunities to implement new technologyCarry out daily/weekly work programmes set by the managerCarry out workload in collaboration with operational teamsTrain, mentor, and develop othersMaintain personal diary/CPD record/ to demonstrate career development CVRecord all work carried out within company electronic systemCarry out workshop inspections as instructedEnsure compliance with company and legislative safety and environment requirementWhat do you bring to the role?
