BAM UK & Ireland require a Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join the Ground Engineering business unit.

As a Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you will be planning and leading the safe, technically excellent delivery of geotechnical works on a varying range of projects across the South of the UK.

You will be based at either our Godstone or Nailsea site offices (work in other areas may be required from time to time).

This is predominately a site-based role that will require travel and living away from home as required.

  • As Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Maintain open lines of communication with the Geotechnical team regarding the progress of the project and relevant developments
  • Supervision & management of the safe, efficient delivery of geotechnical works to an excellent technical standard
  • Supervise & mentor the project team as appropriate to develop others
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the Client, the supply chain and third parties
  • Maintain high levels of personal safety and environmental standards, implementing safe systems of work on site
  • Monitoring of project costs & reporting change both internally and to the Client
  • Awareness of project and business goals and able to relay these to the project team to increase workforce engagement with business

Experience in delivering geotechnical works, competence at management and supervision of project teams, communication skills both written and verbal at all levels
