BAM UK&I are looking for a Digital Workplace Engineer to be based from any UK&I office.
Making Possible
As a Digital Workplace Engineer, you will manage and maintain BAM’s global endpoint environment, supporting both physical and virtual devices. Working within the Digital Workplace competency centre, you will collaborate with international colleagues to implement strategies defined by our Solution Architect. You will work under the supervision of the Technical Manager. The team uses DevOps and Agile methodologies to work in delivering all plannable work in Sprints alongside operational duties, and incident management.
Your responsibilities include:
- Administering and operating VDI environments (Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows365).
- Creating and maintaining golden images using Infrastructure-as-Code (DevOps pipelines).
- Managing Intune for endpoint configuration, compliance, and security.
- Deploying devices via Autopilot and Apple ADE, and managing application packaging and distribution.
- Hardening systems with Defender solutions and implementing automated remediations using PowerShell and Azure Automation.
- Overseeing print management platforms and supporting escalated issues via ServiceNow.
- Driving innovation and continuous improvement in workplace technologies.
Your team will be based from any UK&I office on a hybrid basis.

We’re looking for a proactive and technically skilled professional who enjoys working in a dynamic, international environment and is passionate about delivering modern workplace solutions. You’ll thrive if you’re curious, collaborative, and eager to make an impact across BAM’s global organization. We seek someone with:
- Strong experience in VDI environments (Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows365).
- Expertise in endpoint management, Intune, and modern deployment strategies.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 technologies and Azure fundamentals.
- Practical experience with scripting (PowerShell) and automation.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) — Dutch language skills are a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to BAM offices in the UK, Ireland, and the Netherlands.
