BAM Site Solutions are looking to recruit a Depot Operative based in Kilsyth. The Depot Operative is responsible for carrying out the maintenance, refurbishment, and fit-out of depot buildings and yard areas, ensuring all facilities are maintained to current standards and regulatory requirements. The role supports depot operations by providing a safe, efficient, and well-maintained working environment, enabling the team to deliver a high standard of service to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Place the health and safety of everyone involved in the business as your highest priority.
  • Complete work right first time and identify failures to prevent recurrence.
  • Understand and meet customer needs, delivering excellent service.
  • Support BAM's operations as required.
  • Minimise the environmental impact of depot operations.
  • Record water meter readings and enter them into BAM Smart.
  • Monitor skips and arrange emptying when required.
  • Assist with depot maintenance and utilities as required.
  • Ensure workplace risk assessments are completed and followed before work begins.
  • Operate plant safely, where required and authorised for the role.
  • Supervise the return of site materials to the depot, including unloading and positioning.
  • Provide monthly water readings to the manager.
  • Carry out weekly workshop fire alarm checks.
  • Complete other duties as requested by your line manager, in line with your training and competence.
  • Check the suitability and condition of depot drains.
  • Ensure drain spill traps are fit for purpose.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date depot signage.
  • Arrange and supervise subcontractors, ensuring RAMS meet company standards.
  • Monitor depot road conditions and arrange repairs where necessary.
  • Allocate maintenance costs correctly.
