Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM Site Solutions are looking to recruit an experienced Fire Service Technician. The position will involve a mixture of working on site & working out of our Wellingborough depot. It will also include visits to our other offices at Morley, Allbrook & Kilsyth. Your mission • Support Project Services Operations Manager with all aspects of fire protection requirements within our operations • Undertaking Fire Extinguisher Servicing predominantly for BAM Construct & BAM Civils without supervision. • Building and maintaining good relationships with the client. Demonstrating high standards of customer service that support the clients Culture. • Work closely with clients to provide equipment and advice that support the client\’s business and requirements • Service, install or remove and properly dispose of fire extinguishers or extinguisher parts, as necessary. • Support the team installing/maintaining temporary wireless fire alarms – training on this will be provided as required. • Work with the team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in BAM Site Solution services. • Support any work-winning activity through the Sales Operation Team. • Support and input to risk reviews and implementation of mitigating actions. • Give technical support and guidance to the team, clients and other key business stakeholders. • Contribute to ensure policies, processes and procedures support in the delivery of compliance. • BAFE qualified, have a good working knowledge of BS5306 & a Fire Extinguisher Training certificate (4 days course covering BS5306 parts 3 & 8) from accredited body • Certified to assess fire doors & fire alarm installation/maintenance experience would be an advantage • Always deliver the company values and investigate any complaints raised by the customer in a professional manner to ensure a satisfactory closure is achieved. • Liaise with and advise clients and key UK & Ireland stakeholders, to deliver a collaborative and professional service. • The continual improvement of Health and Safety within our operations and reducing our impact on the climate are key drivers within BAM so the successful candidate must possess a strong desire to support initiatives in these most important areas. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Proficiency in using Microsoft packages will be required • The successful post-holder will be of smart disposition, confident and methodical. • Able to carry/lift fire extinguishers, tools and equipment as required. • They must be prepared to travel extensively with occasional nights away.
