BAM is currently delivering the redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site located in Plymouth and we are seeking an experienced Agent to manage the technical compliance of the project to the design specification to fulfil the assigned project (or section) safely, on time and to the required quality. Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required. Please note that this process can take up to 8 weeks. Eligibility criteria: Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years. Your mission
Programming works, commercial performance, and the effective utilisation of resources to meet those programmes. Support the implementation and monitoring of Health & Safety policies and procedures. Take full ownership and accountability for profit and loss in the project, ensuring robust control of target costs and actual costs. Including financial forecasts, forecast reviews, final cost & value reviews with the commercial team. Ensure all labour, plant, materials, and supply chain resources are accurately recorded. Ensure works are delivered in accordance with the specification. Communicating effectively at all levels including site management, technical specialists, commercial staff, planners, engineers, supervisory staff operatives, suppliers, third parties and client representatives. Maintaining high personal standards and behaviour in health and safety, environmental and supporting others in the same. Leading, supervising and mentoring your reportees and other team members. Monitoring and recording delivery against the agreed programme and construction methods, identifying shortfalls and devising mitigation to minimise programme impacts. Maintaining good working relations with client, delivery teams, support teams, supply chain and others. Assist with the monthly and quarterly commercial forecast and reporting for your areas of project. Ensuring sufficient resources (labour, plant, materials and subcontractors) are procured and available in sufficient time to deliver the activities within your area of responsibility. Managing the engineering team to ensure that works are accurately and clearly set out before work commences. Who are we looking for?
Relevant qualification (Management qualification / NVQ L3 / HNC / Degree) SSSTS/SMSTS May be working towards Chartership/Incorporation with IStructE, ICE or other appropriate professional body. Prior experience working with reinforced concrete and civils is essential Familiar in Leica Survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, Optical & digital levels) for Setting Out & Survey Able to take the lead with client interfaces and manage project delivery on technical and business aspects of team outputs, including excellent communication and project management, leading and managing technical teams within a competitive business environment. Experience in a similar role. Awareness of commercial processes. Familiar with Quality Management System and familiar in writing RAMS. Proven people and project management skills. Team leader with organisational skills Desirable Experience in Reinforced Concrete Nuclear experience TW supervisor or experience in TW. Whats in it for you?
