Building a sustainable tomorrow At BAM, we have an exciting opportunity for a UK Geotechnical Manager to lead our geotechnical operations across the UK. This key role will involve building and maintaining strong, customer-focused relationships, growing and leading a high-performing UK team, and ensuring the safe and successful delivery of regulated geotechnical projects. This role will report directly to the Director, Ground Engineering in BAM UK & Ireland's Infrastructure segment and can be based from Kilsyth (Glasgow), Godstone (London) or Nailsea (Bristol) (depending on your geographical location) with frequent visits to clients/sites and visits/interaction with peers across the UK.

Accountable for the delivery of safely executed, profitable and high-quality geotechnical schemes.
Regularly inform the Director and Operations Manager of potential problems, strategic options, and future work opportunities for all areas under your control.
Provide operational, strategic, contractual and technical advice and/or service to bid preparation and project management
Mentor project/regional teams in the timely delivery of realistic and robust cost forecasts for monthly and quarterly financial reporting
Provide operational, strategic, contractual and technical advice and/or service to bid preparation and project management.
Establish and promote best practice in health, safety, sustainability, cost, time, buildability and appropriate quality matters.
Adopt a consistent approach to cost management and control in liaison with commercial management, ensuring that resources are available to support implement on projects under your control.
