BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting an Educational Digital Lead for its Construction segment. Part of the CoE for Information Management and Data Analytics team, this role will exist within a matrix structure to the DPS Business Partner for Construction. This role focuses on procuring, implementing, provisioning and managing the content of BAM’s digital platform for the national DfE framework to improve the efficiency, procurement, design and delivery of DfE schools. You shall plan and manage the use of digital tools to capture, share and use information to enhance project / contract delivery.
Location: Any UK office. This is a hybrid role requiring National travel. BAM operates a flexible working policy.
Digital & Technical Expertise
- Understanding of 4D sequencing and its role in reducing project risk.
- Knowledge of 5D forecasting and linking cost, programme, and model data.
- Expertise in digital platforms for MMC / DfMA.
- Ability to apply data validation techniques and develop standard IM templates.
- Strong understanding of information workflows and digital software interfaces.
- Proficient in using key documentation such as EIRs, IM standards, Responsibility Matrices, and Mobilisation Plans.
Leadership & Information Management
- Lead delivery of the Project / Asset Information Model in line with ISO19650 and client requirements.
- Manage risk, change, communication, and compliance with BAM procedures.
- Ensure clear ownership through the Responsibility Matrix and support training on information management.
- Oversee digital systems, data security, and the Common Data Environment (CDE).
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
- Act as the information advisor to project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Work closely with DPS, IT, commercial, legal, procurement, and education teams to ensure compliance and efficient digital delivery.
- Secure required digital resources and ensure systems are fit for purpose across the project lifecycle.
Communication & Reporting
- Produce reports, analysis, and forecasting.
- Support mobilisation planning for digital technologies.
- Assist supply chain capability assessments and ensure alignment to information requirements.
Management Responsibilities
- Shape and implement digital strategy and governance aligned with BAM and DfE standards.
- Deliver a leading digital platform to improve cost, time and quality of school projects.
- Enhance efficiency through MMC / DfMA and support BAM’s educational platform approach.
- Manage platform development, content accuracy, and compliance with design and ISO standards.
- Drive digital process improvements and provide thought leadership across BAM and the wider industry.
- Promote health, safety, quality and support winning work through strong digital submissions.
Your team
Location: Any UK office. This is a hybrid role requiring National travel. You will be part of a national DfE team, reporting to the Sector Client Director for DfE tasked with standardising our approach to designing, procuring and delivering schools (including non DfE schools and HE sector). You may lead people and teams, in a first amongst others structure, and will be a leading light in their digital area of expertise (platforms). BAM operates a flexible working policy.

- Relevant higher education in Construction or similar, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience on construction or FM projects with a digital focus.
