BAM FM is currently seeking a School Catering Manager to join our team at Chilton Trinity School in Bridgwater.
Available Shift Pattern:
• 37.5 hours a week, Monday-Friday
•
• Term-time only
£15 ph overtime available
Your mission
As a Catering Manager, your primary mission will be to ensure the efficient operation of the school kitchen and provide high-quality catering services. Key responsibilities include:
• Preparation of meals in accordance with agreed recipes/methods
• Ingredient preparation under direction
• Adherence to HACCP and food safety regulations
• Separation of clean and dirty processes
• Preparation of food for transportation
• Decanting and/or serving food when required
• Maintaining food safety records using the current management system
• Refilling and replacing consumables
• Monitoring and arranging the storage of supplies
• Treating all customers with courtesy and consideration
• Working safely with kitchen equipment and addressing maintenance issues
• Maintaining accurate stock levels, including kitchen materials
• Assisting in achieving financial targets
• Managing waste through correct product measurement
• Participating in training and development opportunities
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures
• Contributing to team meetings and following instructions from the management team and head office
Who are we looking for?
• Willingness to obtain a recognised catering qualification
• Desirable: Level 2 Hygiene Certificate
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in the kitchen
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Desirable: Good ICT skills
• Ability to use relevant equipment
• Awareness of COSHH regulations
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of health and hygiene procedures
• Willingness to participate in development and training opportunities
